Youth

There is a wide varitey of youth activity every week at First Presbyterian, Kirksville.  Besides regular Sunday school classes, there are three active youth fellowship groups:  Senior High Presbyterian Youth Fellowship, Mid-High Presbyterian Youth Fellowship, and Operation J.O.Y.  Read on to learn more and/or look at the picture gallery to see the groups in action.

Senior High PYF

Open to all high school aged youth (grades 9-12), the Senior High PYF group meets from 7:00 unitl 8:30pm every Sunday night (except some holidays and school breaks) in the Travers Room of the church. Activities include Bible study, games and recreational activies, planning for mission trips that are held each summer, and snacks.

Mid-High PYF

The Mid-High PYF group meets Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Travers Room.  Under the leadership of Elaine AuBuchon, our Mid-high Handbell Choir rehearses from 4:30-5:00 with Bible study and activities from 3:30 to 4:30.  No prior experience playing handbells is required.

Operation JOY

Operation J.O.Y. welcomes children preschool through 5th Grade on Wednesday afternoons in Fellowship Hall. This program provides Bible studies, activities, snacks, and choir.  Transportation from school is provided. The Operation J.O.Y. Choir under the direction of Elaine AuBuchon periodically sings on Sunday mornings during worship.
